Matt Fiction is best known for starting a book club in his name to inspire a love of the summer game through reading cricket books.

The Matt Fiction Book Club remains an inspiration to many and has been a powerful vehicle for promoting generosity among members of the wider cricket community.

He was stationed at the Burrabadine Cricket Library as their overseas librarian for the 2016/17 summer. His impeccable work in the library has ensured that his services have been retained on a recurring basis to this day.

Matt has been a regular contributor to the Cricket Library YouTube channel most notably through the Roadside Reviews segment where he would share his thoughts on popular cricket books at roadside locations around regional NSW, Australia.

He was also a staple guest on the Cricket Library Weekly Podcast in the 2020/21 summer reciting haiku poems gathering what some would describe as a bit of a cult following.
